Naturopathic Emotional Release (NER)

Naturopathic Emotional Release (NER) is a tool to help identify and process underlying emotional blocks which may be having an impact on your health or making it hard for you to stick to the healthy changes which you are trying to make.

These underlying emotions or stress patterns can contribute to disharmony in the body and nervous system, leading to symptoms or patterns of behaviour.

NER helps to interpret when a physical symptom is a manifestation of stress or emotional issues so that you can get to the core of the underlying issue or trauma which is held in your body and which is affecting your health and wellbeing.

This is done quickly and easily without having to go into details about the issue or event and without having to dredge up the past.

NER also helps to identify and address self-sabotaging behaviours so that you can achieve your goals and stick to healthier habits more easily.

It was all going so well.. why can't I stick to anything?

Have you had the experience of wanting to make some changes to your diet or your habits and putting some things in place and all seems to be going well until something gets in the way and you fall off track again?

You feel like you're back and square one and like a failure because you just can't seem to stick to it?

Whether it's something that you're trying to stop doing like emotional eating, eating sugar or staying up late on social media or it's something that you're wanting to start and keep doing like eating healthier, exercising daily or meditating.

Here is an example, maybe you were feeling sluggish and knew that you'd been eating too much sugar so you decided to cut it out and avoid it completely. All was going well and you felt like this time, it was going to be easier to stick to it. You started to feel less sluggish and noticed that your energy levels were better and you weren't getting so many headaches.

Then one day, even though you'd been feeling so much better, since cutting out sugar, for no apparent reason you found yourself craving sugar and searching for something, anything sweet. Willpower wasn't enough to override the craving and soon you found yourself indulging in whatever sweet things were available.
Then once the sugar craving had been satisfied, you were left feeling disappointed with yourself and feeling like you'd let yourself down, undone all of your good work and that you'll never truly be able to get off the sugar rollercoaster.

Sometimes we unconsciously sabotage ourselves during the process of change because there is an underlying subconscious belief, emotion or trauma which keeps us stuck and repeating the same old behavioural patterns. Whilst it might sound non-sensical, of course consciously you do want to stop eating sugar or feeling out of control with sugar but on a subconscious level, your nervous system detects giving up sugar as a stress for some underlying emotional reason and this leads to self-sabotaging behaviour (in this instance eating sugar) to maintain the status quo.

Naturopathic Emotional Release (NER) is a fantastic way to get into the underlying emotional or subconscious trigger that make it hard to stick to a particular habit or reach a particular goal. Whether that is stopping eating sugar, eating cleaner or reaching a particular goal weight. Once we identify and process the underlying stress response, you're able to make the changes more easily and maintain them without having to rely solely on willpower because now your nervous system and subconscious are on board and don't detect the desired positive change/s as a stress or a threat. It can be done either in person or online via zoom.

If there are certain things that you've been wanting to change around your eating habits or particular goals that you have yet it feels really hard to stick to them or to even get started to make changes, NER can help.
